Do I have to register for each site on the network?
No. By registering at any of the sites in our network, you are registered for all of our Web sites. This makes it easy for you to take advantage of individual features on each Web site without having to repeatedly enter your information.

Why do you use cookies? What are cookies?
The term "cookie" refers to a small text file sent to your browser that allows us to store your username and other preferences in a secure fashion. These small files cannot harm your computer and do not contain any personal information.
With the auto-login feature in our registration system, we use a cookie to remember the login information you gave us so you don't have to enter that information each time you visit our site. Our site also uses cookies to keep track of how users are navigating our site and to provide you with personalized content. This will allow us to serve you the information that you want to see the most. The use of cookies is an industry standard -- you'll find them at most major Web sites.

How secure is my personal information?
The uclick Network is operated on secure data networks protected by industry-standard firewall and password-protection systems. In addition, to safeguard credit card e-commerce transactions we use industry-standard secure socket layer (SSL) encryption technology. This ensures secure transmission of your information from your browser to our servers. Our security and privacy policies are periodically reviewed and enhanced as necessary, and only authorized individuals have access to the information provided by our customers. We use thawte SSL Web Server Certificates to offer secure communications by encrypting all data to and from the site. thawte has checked and verified the company registration documents and the site's registered domain name.

What steps do you take to protect children?
ulick takes the safety of children very seriously. We have taken several steps to ensure that visitors to our site are not compromised by our administrative and security measures. Visitors to our site under the age of 13 are subject to our Children's Privacy Policy (Read Our Policy) and we encourage you to see the policy for all of the details.

REGISTRATION

When do I have to register? Why do I need to register?
You can send a comics to a friend, view comics, and enjoy a number of GoComics features without registering. However in order to receive e-mail you must register with a minimum amount of information so that we can send you the comics you would like to see. Registration also enables us describe the AGGREGATE demographics (e.g. 60% of the readers of the comic strip Cathy are female) of our sites to advertisers. We do not disclose specific information about any user to third parties.

Do I have to pay for e-mail or other registration benefits?
No. All features of GoComics an uExpress (including one daily e-mail) are free to you, as is registration at the uclick store! Enjoy!

How do I log in once I have registered?
uclick sites that require a subscription have a User Sign-In area in the upper left corner of their respective front pages. Most sites also have a LOGIN button or link. Furthermore, anytime you attempt to enter an area of any uclick site that requires you to log in (and you have not already done so), you will be take to the login screen.

How do I edit my information?
You can edit your information through the "My Account" system.

What if I forget my username?
We'll e-mail your username to you if you forget it. Simply fill out this form and let us know that you have forgotten your username.

What if I forget my password?
If you forget your password, we'll e-mail you a new one. Click the "Forgot your password?" link on the sign in page.

SUBSCRIPTIONS:
When do I have to subscribe? Why do I need to subscribe? Do I have to pay for benefits?
Our two subscription sites are The Puzzle Society (uPuzzles) and My Comics Page. You can play some samples of daily updated games on the uPuzzles Web site without subscribing. In order to play all the daily updated games offered on uPuzzles.com, you must subscribe to "The Puzzle Society". There is no free content at My Comics Page -- you must have a subscription to get in. How do I log in once I have registered?
Each time you access the "Members Only" section of uPuzzles you will be asked to provide your username and password. If you are on a different machine or have your cookies turned off, go to the sign in page and input your username and password to log on to your account. You can log in to your account here.

How do I edit my account information?
You can edit your information through the "Account Center" system.

TECHNICAL ISSUES

Do I have the right browser?
GoComics recommends that you have version 4.0 or later of any of the major browsers, including Netscape Navigator or Communicator, Internet Explorer, or America Online (AOL) version 5.0. These browser recommendations are applicable for computers running the Mac OS operating system and those using Windows 95/98/NT/2000.

In addition, to ensure full compatibility with GoComics, you must have Javascript/Jscript enabled and your browser must be set to allow cookies.
